OLPC and Amazon Launch Give One Get One Program


One Laptop per Child, in cooperation with Amazon, has launched the
“Give One Get One” program for this year.

Participants in the program donate an XO laptop to a child in a developing nation, and also receive one.

A pair of OLPC XO laptops costs $399 and can be ordered through Amazon.com.

Designed specially for children’s education, the XO mini-notebook features a 7.5-inch display, rugged casing, low-power processor at 433MHz, 256MB of RAM, 1GB of data storage space, a web camera, and Linux-based operating system.
